Shadow Banning

Shadow banning, also known as stealth banning, ghost banning or comment ghosting, is the act of blocking or partially blocking a user or their content from an online community such that it is not readily apparent to the user that they have been banned. In this practice, the user's posts and activities are made invisible or less prominent to other users of the platform, but the user is not informed of this change. It's a controversial practice sometimes used by online platforms to manage problematic behavior.
